Fisher Technical Services Inc.

PDF Print E-mail

Some may claim things are rigged in this town and for Fisher Technical Services, Inc. (FTSI) that literally is the case. FTSI designs, manufactures and installs high performance automation machinery, rigging and controls for the entertainment industry. A Las Vegas based business, FTSI products are used in theaters, theme parks, touring productions and motion pictures around the world. The term automated machinery refers to any device that makes things move. This includes flying machines used in the movies like Spiderman 2 and Sky High and scenery moving machines used in grand scale production shows like Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian Resort. FTSI also builds custom machines and mechanical components such as the system that moves the incredible marquee sign in front of Wynn Resort.

Over the past ten years, FTSI has grown from its modest beginnings into a multi-million dollar company. They were fortunate to secure Universal Studios Orlando and Cirque du Soleil at Bellagio as their first two clients. Through word of mouth and reputation, FTSI kept these and similar high-profile companies such as Walt Disney Entertainment and Blue Man Group as clients. Within FTSI's first seven years, the company steadily grew from 2 to 20 employees, from annual revenues of $150,000 to $4,000,000 and from 5,000 to 25,000 square feet of space. Without question, it was their being awarded the contract for the elaborate staging for the Le Rve show at Wynn Resort that catapulted FTSI to the next level. Since then, they have experienced a powerful growth spurt and find themselves both blessed and challenged with a full slate of cutting-edge projects that are the envy of their industry.
