A Venezuelan immigrant, fluent in Spanish, Vargas became an expert in the field of environmental engineering while working with an international engineering consulting firm. In 1997, Vargas decided to break away and establish Apex Environmental Engineering & Compliance, Inc. (Apex) with a previous client. Apex was founded with the vision of providing a wide range of environmental, health, safety and engineering consulting services within the United States.
BWT Lighting
BWT Lighting, Inc. was established as a subsidiary of B&W TEK in early 2005, a world leader in the design and production of optical technology. Using the engineering foundation of B&W TEK, BWT produces aids to navigation lighting systems for both the maritime and aviation industries.
Nocon’s Gelatoria
On January 8, 2007 Frank and Merlyn Nocon opened the doors to their new business, “Nocon’s Gelatoria Inc.” It’s a place to relax and have a good time while enjoying a tasty treat. With 24 different flavors to choose from, not only are the gelatos tasty, they are low fat, lactose friendly and pretty to look at.
Ginni Designs
Downsized by Silicon Valley “cut and run” practices Alan Gillengerten and Wendy Cable became innovative entrepreneurs in consumer electronics. Their first appearance at Tech Coast Angels to request funding was not successful but the screening manager for the Orange County Chapter liked their product and concept, knew they needed additional help, and recommended Tri-Tech to Alan and Wendy. Alan began flying to southern California for regular periodic meetings with Tri-Tech Consultant, Brook Cross.
