Ginny Jawidzik’s personal experiences inspired her to start Healthy Gourmet, a whole food bar manufacturing company, which later became Omega Smart. In 1993, after 17 years as a restaurateur and caterer, Ginny began to research recipes which could meet her customers’ requests for healthy, gourmet food. Three years later, Ginny was challenged to develop products that could help her husband, Ron, cope with type 2 Diabetes.

Barry Harmon is the design engineer, inventor, and original manufacturer of the tungsten carbide planter scraper, which was developed in 1987. These scrapers are used by producers on any kind of planting equipment for corn, sorghum, milo, soybeans, and cotton. Air Design, located in Scobey, Montana, the far northeastern corner of the state, initially started doing business as a sole proprietor in 1984.
