The Small Business Development Center at UCF is offering a free disaster preparedness workshop on Tuesday, June 3, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at its downtown Orlando headquarters.
With hurricane season almost upon us and the possibility of wildfires a current threat, it is essential for any business to have a written and tested disaster plan and a “records-to-go” box. This SBDC at UCF workshop, entitled “One Plan, Any Disaster,” will feature a “disaster plan-in-a-box” concept, which enables businesses to create the strategy and tactics that may be readily adaptable to any disaster situation and allow that business to attain a full recovery and a return to normalcy.
The workshop will be taught by Robert J. Goetz, manager of the SBDC at UCF’s sub-center at Seminole Community College.
The “One Plan, Any Disaster” workshop is part of the SBDC at UCF’s 7th Annual Strategic Tools Seminar Series sponsored by Orange County Government. Pre-registration is required. Disaster planning kits and refreshments are included.
To register and for additional information regarding this seminar, visit or call 407-420-4850. The SBDC at UCF is located in the Disney Entrepreneur Center, 315 E. Robinson St., Suite 100, in downtown Orlando.
