Katy Commerce Center, SBDC To Hold Grand Openings Today

The Katy Area Chamber of Commerce will host two grand openings today, one for the new University of Houston Small Business Development Center and one for the Katy Commerce Center.
The ribbon cutting and open house reception at the University of Houston will take place from 1 – 3 p.m. this afternoon. It will be followed by the Katy Commerce Center event from 4 – 6:30 p.m.

The dual ribbon cutting is intended to celebrate a relationship to develop small business in Katy, according to chamber of commerce officials. Through the efforts of the Katy Area Economic Development Council and the Katy Chamber, the Katy Commerce Center facility was selected as the site for the northern office of the University of Houston Fort Bend County SBDC program.
The center will provide services to small businesses in Katy and the surrounding areas.
