When She’s Ready to Retire, She’ll Know

I HAVE what I consider the ideal job: providing confidential advice to small businesses and working to create jobs in western Massachusetts. It’s a position I’ve had for over 17 years.
I started here when I was in my mid-50’s. Several years ago, I thought to myself that I would probably do this a few more years. But I have the health, energy and passion to continue. Although I certainly appreciate the lack of financial pressure that comes with postponing retirement past the age of 70, it’s not nearly as much of a motivator as the job itself.

Robert Goetz, manager of Seminole Community College's Small Business Development Center, was awarded the Network Service Excellence Award by the Florida Small Business Development Center Network. Renee Templeton, administrative assistant for the college's SBDC, was honored as Regional Employee of the Year.
WSBDC's Unger Receives State Star
Oct. 17, 2008 -- Cindy Unger, a business counselor in the University of Wyoming Small Business Development Center (WSBDC) office in Casper, has been selected as the America's Small Business Development Center (ASBDC) 2008 State Star. The award was presented at a special reception in Chicago.
She was chosen for being an exemplary performer, making a significant contribution to the Wyoming SBDC program and showing a strong commitment to small businesses in the state.
